Ours was a second home that we were just not able to get to often enough, and we listed it for sale. When it went under contract, the Buyers wanted to close in 12 days, which meant we had to decide what to move to our main home, what to dispose of and where/how - - clothes, artwork, and furnishings - - in less than two weeks! Our realtor suggested Kari for packing and helping with everything else, and she is the only reason it all got done in that time frame. Everything that came to our main home made it with no damage; she arranged for donations to local charities; she coordinated showings for consignment people, and for walk-ins who saw her ads in social media. She introduced us to FaceTime to double check our early decisions, and she and my wife did a comprehensive review every day of where we all were on the project. You gave me some advice to move the cooking books out, move food from the counter, so there was more counter meal prep space.
Shelving with Blender and basket on top is where the top 2 rows were 85% books.
Now the books are on a new shelf unit above the dishwasher.
I had to consider the hurdle of moving the books away from my constant gaze, and accept the fact that it hadn't inspired me to open them and use them!
So moving them created a terrific ability to have more prep space. Now two of us have plenty of space to create together or individually. And I feel like there is so much more breathing room!
